Hey,

My name is David (I'm sure you know that by now). When I'm not designing digital products I am hanging out in NYC where my wife and I live. I LOVE music, and I play around 4-5 different instruments. Let's just say I don't get bored. A big personal project I'm in the middle of is fixing up a sailboat (pic of us raising the mast to the right). I can tell you all about the horror story of our first time out...true "bonding" moment for my wife and I...no wonder for my birthday she got me some sailing lessons. But hey, now we're sailors!

As you can see I used to teach (pic on the right). I loved my time as a teacher. Connecting with people and seeing them grow is one of the most meaningful jobs out there. Teaching math taught me a lot about human-interaction design. The questions and approaches I used in planning curriculum and lessons are very similar to how I approach a product.
- How can I most clearly explain this math concept while still giving the full picture?
- How do I make this product as simple as possible while still giving the user all the needed (and sometimes just fun) functionality?

No person can be wrapped up in 2 short paragraphs, but I basically love helping people, and during the work day, that means making great products for businesses.
